Hello everyone,
It’s about to be 2026. As a new year and fresh start to this journey begins, I have high hopes for what C3D can do and be. I wanted to get my first post out before the end of the year. When your starting something new, you have to work hard to get your bearings and learn fundamentals. Things take time. It’s especially hard if you unfamiliar with everything from the get go. It’s like searching for jewels in a cave where all you have is food, water, but you need to somehow find your own tools and search for way out altogether.
Any how, I’m excited to work on this social development startup going forward. I have no idea where it’ll go but it brings me hope that at the end of the day—even if no ones still doing this work—I’m at least doing it, ha! I have worked diligently on preparation and logistics for C3D this past year. It’s been an interesting mix of pain, joy, sorrow, brightness, and hope the past year. With all that’s been had personally; professionally; and within everyone’s connected spaces, I’d like to start with acknowledging that not one person can fix some of the most pressing challenges we see in our lives today. Are these problems created by systems or are these problems caused by people who are continually apart of these systems that were created by people? Or both? Regardless of how you answer, only through awareness and understanding can each individuals’ truths highlight the mishaps and pitfalls while show the hopes that continue to shape our world.
Looking for truths
Seeking truths changes the way we fall down and pick ourselves backup. Seeking truths affects the way we lean in to support change. Unfortunately, at the end of the day we may still fall short of what is desired. Yet, it’s people who fight for change, who plea for support, who acknowledge what’s right and what’s wrong. Humanity isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and knowing dark times means knowing bright times. These are two sides of the same coin. And, of course, this isn’t a probability statistics game. Okay, let’s flip a coin. Next heads, and the sun comes up!
What it means to me, however, is that the more we understand problems; their truths; and the stories of people that define them, the more we acknowledge and are able to allow change to take root for the better. Humanity was nurtured and has always been bound to companionship. Family, community, neighbors, groups, and so on. So let’s think about expanding our values and views beyond what we only know. There’s a whole world out their to continue supporting with that principle in mind. This is the start of seeing in 3D.
